music ministry

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,
as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

 1 Peter 4:10
The Music Ministry at Christ Church is filled with volunteers of all ages. Our goal is to praise the Savior with excellence and delight!

The Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is a non-auditioned blend of singers of all levels who assist with leading in worship each Sunday morning as well as through two choral Festival services during the year: the Easter Festival Service on Easter Sunday and the Christmas Festival, usually the third Sunday in December. The Choir also leads in an early Fall musical celebration, “Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs.”

The Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the Choir Loft.

The Brass Ensemble

The Brass Ensemble is open to brass players and leads occasionally in Sunday morning worship, accompanies the Sanctuary Choir, and plays for special music events.

Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:15 pm in the Upper Room of the Sanctuary.

Children’s Choir

Kay Lovingood, the Children’s Choir Director, is a highly trained musician and composer with years of experience working with children. She earned her MMEd from the University of Georgia and retired after 27 years as an elementary music teacher. In addition to the music time, the children listen to stories from Christian literature and missionary biographies meant to inspire their hearts and strengthen their faith. We would love to include your children!
